Blame the Limelight

Blame the Limelight is my first real Novel-in-Progress.
The summary is below... #3

Me writing ... thanks Ancy!

Some infomation *yesh i know i spelled it wrong* about the book.

~1~
Firstly... the title... I got the inspiration for the title from Paramore's song "Fences" in which they say "blame the limelight"... It's a good song... u should listen to it... lol... Sydney's major theory on life is that the easiest way to hide things is by showing people everything you want them to know, or living in the limelight. Other's aren't so sure about her ideas, but it has worked for six years so far.

~2~
Secondly... the characters... I'll post brief bios cause I don't want to give anything away. It's told in different points of view so any of them can show up as the main character. However, I write primarily with Sydney.

Sydney: The main character and my main POV. She is strong and very family oriented. She cares deeply about her social status for her own reasons but doesn't give a damn about what anyone thinks. All she really cares about is her family and her own personal ideals. Although she is bitchy, or pretends to be, she is a good friend. Her nickname is Syd. She has chesnut brown hair and dark brown, almost black eyes. She is pretty tall, 16, tan, and hott.. hehe.. Her family is rich so she has alot of power in the town she lives in, her room is huge, her closet is even bigger, and she's never really had to make a life-threatening decision. The most imortant thing to remember about her is her love and dedication for her family. I thinks she's awesome. That's all I can really say.

Aiden: The new boy in town status gives Aiden an automatic popularity. And especially since he's hot, he can do nothing to get himself out of that situation. And, believe me, he'd do anything. He hates attention. The most important thing about him is how much he loves his privacy and can't really stand his family. He is 16. Aiden has sandy blonde hair and hazel gray and is very pale. He has traveled ALOT... mostly living in those places. But that is brought up later so... He is about 5'11" and taller than Sydney. He loves to tease but never really does because he puts on a shy act around people. Thats all I can say except that I love him.. lol

Jason: Sydney's younger brother. He is 14 as of now. He has jet black hair and bright green eyes. He is shorter than Syd, but is catching up quickly. He's OVERPROTECTIVE of his family, especially Sydney. Nothing is more important than his family. He is popular but not by choice, mostly by association and because he's sexy... That actually feels weird to say since he feels like my little brother.. lol... He's a freshman in high school and is that kind of bad ass, quiet guy popular. Although he didn't really intend that, he doesn't care enough to change it.

Alison: Sydney's best friend. She is an air head, a gossip, and a bitch. That may sound bad, but she is actually a loyal friend... or drone... or minion... whatever... lol. She is the second hottest and richest girl in town *next to Syd obviously*. She basically get's all Sydney's guy leftovers because 1 there arent many choices 2 Syd's dated ALOT of guys... not very serious... and NO she is not considered a slut at all. NO ONE CALLS ALISON BY HER REAL NAME. HER NAME IS ALY TO EVERYONE. EVEN HER MOTHER. She has blonde, curly hair and bright blue eyes. She's a really dumb drunk and is convinced her and Aiden are meant to be together.

Samera: Sydney's best friend.. Yeah I know.. it's a contradiction you won't get until you read it. She has brown hair and blue eyes. She is taller than Syd and Aiden. She is 17. Her nickname is Sam. She is a gossip but a super loyal friend and definitely not an air head. She loves Sydney and her family and considers them her own for many reasons. She loves who she is. She is bright and peppy and energetic. Sam loves to tease and make jokes about people. I can't say more.

Elizabeth: Sydney and Jason's mother. She doesn't let anyone call her by her name. It's Liz, except for her husband. She looks like her son Jay: with black hair and bright green eyes. She is tall, mid 40s but looks like she's in her 20s and takes good care of herself. She is nurturing and more like a best friend because of the family's situation. But she is a great mother. She loves to cook with a passion and is a house mom as of right now.

Terrence: Sydney and Jason's father. Liz's husband. Looks alot like Sydney with his wavy brown hair but his eyes are truely black. He is 32 and very fit. He is a caring, loving, nurturing father but isn't around much for certain reasons. Their family is VERY tight despite this. He loves them very much. There isn't much more I can say, sorry.

Kristen: Aiden's bitchy younger sister. Not much to say there. She's a rich bitch who loves money, hates her family, and loves her popularity more than anything. I don't like her.. lol. Her nickname, if anyone does call her, is Kris or the Brat. She pays Aiden for favors. She's a freshman.

Madison (Maddy), Natilie, Bianca, Erica: Kris's freshman friends. Obsessed with Aiden as most the town is. Maddy has red hair, whiney voice, pale, brown eyes (i think), and lives next to Aly. Nat is black with dark hair and mud brown eyes and VERY outgoing and manipulative. Bianca has blue-gray eyes, attractive but puts too much make up on. Erica is shy with thick framed glasses, hazel eyes, light brown hair, and doesn't really like her friends. They are pretty annoying, except Erica, but she does act like them sometimes.

Summary
Sydney is your typical rich, popular, small-town snob. But as any girl in the spotlight can tell you, she has her secrets. And when a new boy comes into town and inadvertently
threatens the security of her secret, Sydney must decide what to do: betray her family or follow what she thinks may be her heart.

That's the jist of it... it's not a very accurate description but it's the best i can give right now... I'll edit later.
