Hey! This is Carissa. I'm a self proclaimed book nerd and i love writing. I currently am writing two novels *more if i lose focus lol*, and I will post little parts up if anyone wants to read. I've been writing since I was little. Nothing really keepable until about seventh grade... I think I was 11 or 12... I don't remember. Anyway, in seventh grade I had a teacher, Mr. Eckel, that really inspired me. He was the only teacher I'd ever had that had us write short stories for a Literature class. Writing was strange in that class because we had another separate English class... but anyway. I then started short stories that always seemed to be based in the ghost story / paranormal type stuff. I read them now and, even though the style bothers me, I really enjoy them. I am extremely critical of my work which is why I ask so many opinions. (Sorry Ancy lmao)... I've always loved reading. My mom says that when I was a baby and couldn't read yet, I'd take books off of the shelves and make up stories according to the pictures. Books and I have been in love ever since... lol
And now to the present, I have about 100 books on record that I've read. I am cursed with slow reading, so sadly it isn't that much more. However, God did give me the gift of actually remembering most of the books I've read so yay! lol...
My favorite authors are J.K. Rowling and Stephenie Meyer.
J.K. Rowling because, not only do I admire her completely as a person, I love the way she writes... even if Harry and Hermione didn't get together... I am known far and wide as a Harry Potter Freak and I don't mind... because it's true lol... Harry Potter holds a lot of significance in my life for many reasons and I'll just leave it at that for now.
Stephenie Meyer because she is amazing. The way she develops her characters and cares about them is so inspiring to me. It has actually helped me to write better and embrace my stories much easier. This is why I am writing presently about Vampires. It is a tribute to her and how much she inspires me. Yeah, I know, corny, but I write what I feel. Plus I love Sydney and Aiden and everyone in that damn book too much to give them up now... lol
I'll write more about myself later, but I think this will keep you satisfied for a while... lol Thanks for reading! Any questions, just let me know.

^ Thaaaats Meee! ^

We're all friends (bestest[and yes, for our purposes, bestest IS a word] friends) ^_^ and we all love to read and occasionally write our own work. Join us and visit each of our pages. They will all be different (possibly drastically different) as we all have different personalities. Despite this, we are friends and that is the only thing that matters to any of us. Well, that and the fact that we all love books and reading. |
