First Official Meeting
May27, 2008
~this meeting took place at central park, and comprised of a visit to the MET among other things..name of club was chosen...starting a webstie was decided...(VOID 6.20.08)

~From the trip to the  MET, some of the novelitas discovered that there is a library inside, possibly a perfect place for future meetings.  This also prompted a desire to go to the main library at 42nd St. and 5th Ave.  We also went to Barnes and Noble, where a cop of all people, was stalking us through the bookstore.  Finally, we had our meeting at Central Park, where we discussed the books we had been reading over the past month.  Author V.C. Andrews was brought up as well as Khaled Houseini's The Kite Runner.  Finally, we talked about the book Carissa is working on called Blame the Limelight....(FIRE 6.20.08)

First Unofficial Meeting
June 3, 2008
~this was just out little trip to Borders and doesn't really count as a meeting, but we were all there, and it was a time for us to be in our zone....a bookstore...<33...(VOID 6.20.08)

~It was rather spur of the moment.  I needed to buy Twilight to read for June, and I had 4 gift cards and some serious time to kill.  Some of our possible new members also came to get a feel for the Day in the Life of a Novelita....(FIRE 6.20.08)

Second Official Meeting
July 1, 2008
~will take place at cardinal spellman high school...before the senior barbeque...and perhaps during and after if time restraints exist....agenda: discussion of first book (Twilight by Stephenie Meyer), next book, next meeting day, notebooks, new members etc....time hasnt been decided yet, and will be posted as soon as possible...please stay tuned (VOID 6.20.08)

~Meeting was held at Seton Falls Park at 8 am.  We finally got 2 use the swings lol.  New members have been decided and the book forJuly was decided (The Darkest Night by Gena Showalter).  As a club, we will write a novel in which each person writes a chapter building on the previous chapter and it will all somehow come together.  There will also be a group notebook which will be passed around to record reflections on the novels being read...(FIRE 7.6.08)

~Also, we all decided to pick numbers from a hat and each of us will get to choose the books for the next months in that order...First month was Air and Twilight, then Darkness and The Darkest Night. The rest in order is Light, Water, Fire, Void, Metal, Earth and then the newest members, whose order we have not confirm as of yet. (VOID 7.23.08)

Third Official Meeting
August 2, 2008
~Basically, next month's book club meeting. It will take place at Union Square starting approximately at 12 pm. Other details have been mailed and messaged to all club members. Topics of discussion include the Book of the Month (likes/dislikes), Monthly Meetings (setting a constant and particular date), New Members (whatever that entails), Book Idea (our book), Writer's Circle (reading/proofing each others writings).
